Carter Vs. The Squirrel

Peter took Carter to the park the other day.  I was working and unable to join in the fun.  Carter encountered a squirrel. Since I was not there I will let Peter tell the story.

Carter and I  went to the park and played last Monday.

We  were walking back to the car from the play area when suddenly, a squirrel appeared near to Carter.  The squirrel was not shy and came pretty close to Carter.  Carter thought it was pretty awesome so he took off after it.

The squirrel kept backing away a few feet and stopped to turn around and stand on its hind legs.  Carter would chase it until it stopped and turned around.

They would stare at each other like a Clint Eastwood movie.

Think "Fist Full of Dollars" Clint Eastwood.

After a few seconds, the squirrel would run off a few feet with Carter right behind him.  And just like before, the squirrel would turn around and Carter would freeze.

This went on a few times until the squirrel climbed a tree.

It looked like the squirrel was ready to launch itself from the branch onto Carter, when another squirrel took the opportunity and flanked the squirrel watching Carter.

While the two squirrels fought an epic battle, Carter lost interest, so we went to visit mom at her work.
